chronicles of a face me, I face you apartment:

I started this chronicle with the advantages of staying in a room apartment commonly known as 'face me, I face you'. Now while there might not be many merits of living in a room apartment. There are lots of disadvantages.

Where do I even begin from? Is it the fact that, you live in a house with twenty-five or more people, most of whom are kids, and so you constantly have potties littered everywhere. You would be lucky if its not a shitty potty.

Or the fact that you can never have privacy, no matter how small. Why, you ask? Cos there would always be that neighbour whose tv broke and has to watch the latest telemundo in your room. The annoying thing is, this neighbour doesnt care if you are ready to sleep or even sleeping already. As long as the tv is on, shes good.

Another thing is, if you stay in a room apartment, forget you have a secret. You might as well tell your neighbours whatever it is you want to do or say beforehand cos whatever it is you say or do in your room, a dozen or more people are listening and watching(remember, no privacy). To top it off, they let you know they heard your conversation by asking you about it. If for instance, you are talking to someone about how broke you are on phone. Be rest assured that when you come out, your landlady would ask if you needed to borrow money.

And then, theres always the neighbour who acts like he/she cares about you but is really just being nosy and wants to know everything about you.
Also know that once you sign up to stay in a room apartment, your peace and tranquility is gone as the house would always be noisy, I repeat ALWAYS. Kids from other houses having a meet cute in your house, iya toba's naming ceremony, the landlady's daughter's introduction, girls fighting over a man, noise from 'I beta pass my neighbour' gen etc. The point is, theres always something going on in someones life, hence the noise. Other demerits are constant heat (as theres no power supply), transmissible diseases etc.

I hope you enjoyed reading this piece. Pls leave a comment in the section below if you have other merits and demerits to add. Thank you.
